A ceremony rooted in tradition, dinner overlooking the James River, and a dance floor surrounded by loved ones—Pariya and Arian’s wedding brought together meaningful moments and imaginative design at The Estate at River Run.
With a palette of blue, peach, and orange, their celebration offered a beautiful expression of their personalities. Each part of the day introduced guests to another setting throughout the estate, from the Front Lawn to the terraces and ballrooms, with thoughtful details connecting every space.
A First Look in the Wedgewood Ballroom
Before the ceremony, Pariya and Arian shared their first look in the Wedgewood Ballroom. The elegant interior offered a quiet setting for the couple to see one another before joining their guests.
Beginning the day with this moment together created a lovely contrast to the celebrations that followed: an intimate pause before a day filled with family, friends, and festivities.
A Front Lawn Ceremony Featuring the Sofreh Aghd
On the Front Lawn, guests gathered for a ceremony incorporating the religious Sofreh Aghd. With the estate’s Georgian Revival architecture in the background and sunlight filtering through the trees, the setting felt warm and welcoming.
Pariya and Arian sat before an elaborate ceremonial spread featuring embroidered fabric, reflective vessels, and carefully arranged details. Peach and orange flowers added color around the display, complementing the natural greenery of the lawn.
The Sofreh Aghd held a central place in their ceremony, bringing a meaningful tradition into the heart of their wedding day. Surrounded by loved ones, the couple began their marriage in a setting that honored what mattered to them.
Cocktail Hour on the Brick Terrace & CAMEO
Following the ceremony, guests made their way from The Cameo to the Brick Terrace for cocktail hour overlooking the James River.
Fluted wooden cocktail tables and small floral arrangements brought a fresh, playful feel to the terrace. Orange blooms and delicate lavender accents carried the wedding’s palette into the space, while blue lounge cushions offered inviting places to settle in and enjoy the view.
Against the estate’s brick exterior and sweeping landscape, the combination of natural wood, colorful flowers, and comfortable seating created an easy atmosphere for conversation before dinner.
Dinner on the Bluestone Terrace With a Personal Twist
One of the most distinctive details of Pariya and Arian’s wedding was their dinner layout on the Bluestone Terrace. The tables were arranged in a custom design inspired by the couple’s initials, turning the floor plan itself into a personal part of the celebration.
Viewed from above, the arrangement revealed its creative shape. At the table, guests experienced the smaller details that made the design equally inviting: white bentwood chairs, blue and peach linens, gold-toned flatware, and coordinated place settings.
Flowers in shades of orange, peach, lavender, and cream were arranged in small vessels along the tables, interspersed with candles in clear glass hurricanes. The mix of colors felt lively and cohesive against the terrace’s stone surface.
As the sun lowered over the trees, warm light fell across the tables and surrounding landscape. It was a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding dinner, with the James River beyond and the estate rising behind the celebration.
Cake Cutting & Dancing in the Tuscan Ballroom
For the evening reception, the celebration moved into the Tuscan Ballroom for cake cutting and dancing.
The ballroom’s stone and brick walls, exposed wooden beams, and chandeliers offered a warm setting for the final part of the day. Photos capture guests gathered closely around Pariya and Arian, clapping, smiling, and joining them on the dance floor.
After the open views and colorful outdoor dinner, the ballroom brought everyone together in a space filled with movement and energy. The joy of the evening is clear in the faces of the couple and the people celebrating beside them.
A Wedding That Made the Estate Their Own
Pariya and Arian gave each setting a distinct role in their celebration: a first look in the Wedgewood Ballroom, a meaningful ceremony on the Front Lawn, cocktails on the Brick Terrace, dinner on the Bluestone Terrace, and an evening reception in the Tuscan Ballroom.
Their wedding is beautiful inspiration for couples imagining a celebration that incorporates tradition, embraces color, and includes personal details in unexpected places—even the arrangement of the dinner tables.
It was an honor to welcome Pariya, Arian, and their loved ones to The Estate at River Run.
