Cammie & Matthew
Spring was in full bloom as Cammie and Matt gathered with their closest family and friends to celebrate the beginning of their marriage at The Estate at River Run. Set against the scenic backdrop of the James River, their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple. Joyful, family-centered, and full of heartfelt moments.
The day began with a sense of excitement throughout the estate. In the Primary Suite, Cammie spent the morning getting ready alongside her bridesmaids while sharing laughs, stories, and special moments with the women who had supported her throughout her journey to the altar. One especially meaningful detail was tucked into her bouquet: a tribute to her paternal grandmother, with a cherished photo of her pinned into the ribbon wrapped around the blooms. One of the most touching moments of the day came when Cammie revealed her bridal look to her father for the first time and presented him with a handwritten letter expressing her love and gratitude. Their emotional first look was a reminder of just how meaningful the day was, not only for the couple, but for everyone who loves them.
Down by the pool house, Matt and his groomsmen enjoyed a laid-back morning together before getting dressed and partaking in their own lighthearted and special photoshoot prior to the celebration ahead. As guests began to arrive, the anticipation continued to build, leading up to one of the couple's favorite moments of the day, the private first look. Away from the crowd, Cammie and Matt shared a few quiet moments together in the Wedgewood Ballroom and exchanged their vows in an intimate setting before officially becoming husband and wife.
The ceremony took place on the Bluestone Terrace overlooking the river, creating a picture-perfect setting for the couple's vows. Loved ones played a special role throughout the processional, from grandparents and parents to nieces, nephews, and siblings. As Cammie made her entrance accompanied by her father, all eyes were on the bride as she walked toward Matt beneath the warm spring sunshine.
Surrounded by family and lifelong friends, the couple celebrated their marriage in front of everyone they love. The ceremony felt intimate despite the crowd, filled with genuine emotion, happy tears, and smiles from every corner of the terrace. When the officiant finally introduced them as husband and wife, guests erupted in applause as the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle together and shared a kiss.
Following the ceremony, cocktail hour unfolded across the Cameo and Wedgewood Ballrooms, and throughout the estate's gathering spaces. Guests enjoyed drinks, conversation, and stunning views while the newlyweds spent time capturing portraits with family and their wedding party.
As the evening progressed, the Bluestone Terrace was transformed from ceremony space into a beautiful setting for dinner. Before inviting their guests down, Cammie and Matt shared a quiet moment together in the newly styled space, taking in the view and the significance of the day before joining everyone for the reception. Guests were then welcomed to dinner overlooking the river, where heartfelt remarks from loved ones and countless meaningful moments reflected the strong relationships surrounding the couple. From childhood memories to stories of how they met, every toast highlighted the love and support that had brought them to this day. During dinner, Cammie and Matt also cut and tasted their cake, sharing a sweet moment together before continuing the celebration. Throughout the meal, a violin and cello ensemble serenaded guests, adding an elegant and romantic touch to the evening.
The transition into the evening festivities brought even more excitement. Cammie shared a meaningful dance with her father, followed by Matt's dance with his mother before the couple stepped onto the dance floor together for their first dance as newlyweds. What began as a quiet, intimate moment quickly turned into a celebration as guests joined them and the dance floor came to life.
With Trademark Band leading the entertainment, the remainder of the evening was filled with nonstop dancing, singing, and unforgettable memories. Friends and family packed the floor, celebrating the newlyweds with an energy that carried throughout the night. One of the most unexpected and delightful surprises of the evening came when the Father of the Bride dressed up as the Easter Bunny for this Easter weekend celebration, wandering through the celebration and handing out sunglasses to guests from his basket. This was the perfect playful and memorable touch to add to the dance floor fun.
As the final songs played and guests began to exit, Cammie and Matt finished the night off with private photos in the Woodhaven Billiards Lounge before quietly making their exit, hand in hand, reflecting on the incredible day they had just shared.
From beginning to end, Cammie and Matt's wedding was a celebration of love, family, and the start of a new chapter together. Their spring wedding at The Estate at River Run was nothing short of unforgettable, and it was an honor to be part of such a special day.
