"We felt like there was a team of people-- all incredibly kind and eager to share our day with us-- that had our back. And as we planned the whole thing ourselves, that ease of execution was no small feat. Everyone involved with River Run has so much experience with weddings, events, and easy elegance that every detail fell into place."

Kim is also the fun-loving owner of Kim Moody Design & the retail store “trend.”, who balances life as a mother, wife, and boss lady all wrapped into one smart business gal. Kim created Kim Moody Design out of the simple love of a good party. She is a master of many trades, a collector of knowledge, and wise beyond her years. Kim is a mentor to many and a firm believer that family is the most important thing in life. She is always up for an adventure and the lake is her happy place. Her calm nature brings you instant peace, and her strong will can, and has, made the impossible happen.
Kim's Master's Degree in Conflict Transformation with an emphasis in Negotiation has given her a very specialized niche in the wedding industry. She has spoken at national wedding conferences across the United States for audiences as large as 3,000 event professionals. She has a wall full of diplomas and educational certificates and is constantly enrolling herself in something to continue learning and growing as an individual!
Although very business-minded, Kim lets her vibrant and contagious personality shine through! When she isn’t working, you will find her having a blast at the lake. She values the weekends at Lake Gaston with her son, daughter, husband, and lake-loving friends. You’ll find her swimming, boating and hanging on the dock in the sunshine. Who said a boss lady couldn’t have a little fun?
Bill is the Director of Business Development and entertainment connoisseur. Anytime he is spotted at The Estate he is dressed to the nines! He's a fan of classic cars, great music, and good people.
Virginia Commonwealth University was his alma mater, and he received a degree in Business Administration. From there, he performed as a DJ/MC at thousands of weddings and corporate events. This lead him on his path to own Choice Entertainment, for 22 years, a booking agency that did over 1,200 events annually. A few years ago he was fortunate to live the dream of every small business owner and sell Choice, rebranded as Black Tie, and run it for the new owners for a couple additional years after the transition. But now - he's ALL IN on entertaining us at River Run. :) He keeps us laughing in the office all the time.
Bill’s favorite part about events is always the planning process, and working to exceed their expectations and give guests memories that will last a lifetime. He loves working closely with clients to pull off great events. Bill has a way of bringing all ages to the dance floor and keeping the dance floor full all night. He will bring a spark to so many corporate events here at The Estate!
In life, his greatest accomplishment is his family. Bill shares his life with a wife, [Jennifer who we adore!], daughter Campbell & son Cole. And you know we are dog people -- we couldn’t forget about his four-legged friends! Their family has fostered 12 dogs over the past few years and have 3 rescues currently living with them. When Bill is not working, you will likely find them in Duck, North Carolina on the deck, sipping on a little bourbon on the rocks and listening to the crashing waves.... while he ponders what fun he is going to bring to River Run next!
Andrew is a numbers guy through and through. He is the one that keeps our company together, the checkbook balanced, and the bills paid on time.
He's a gentle father, kind-hearted, a sounding board, and a family man. This guy is crazy about Hokie Football; as an alumnus of Virginia Tech, in his younger "child-free" years, Andrew attended a few games each season for many years after College. These days he is lucky to catch a game or two a year on tv from his living room.
With a Degree in Property Management and Minors in Business and Real Estate, Andrew is the perfect caretaker for managing the property for our team. This Spring he will be spending a few days per week on a lawnmower preparing the property for weddings and events. Andrew is looking forward to that quiet time and a slight break from the monotony of his computer screen.
He has spent his career as an Accountant and Bookkeeper for small businesses and he continues to do so under his own company, "Stewardship Solutions." We are fortunate to have him as part of our in-house team at River Run.
Courtney is our amazing Assistant Wedding Coordinator and Office Assistant. A graduate from Arizona State University, she now lives with her boyfriend, two cats, and 110-pound Great Pyrenees in Ladysmith, Virginia. She is a lover of all things outdoors- hiking, camping, snowboarding, rock climbing, and white water rafting are just a few of her favorite activities when she’s not planning weddings at River Run!
Courtney first discovered her passion for planning events while working for a Harrisonburg-based summer camp, when given the opportunity to plan two-week adventure camp trips. Not only did she grow her interest in the outdoors, but she enjoyed working behind the scenes to plan every tiny element that made the trips go well and the participants come home happy. She gained a new-found appreciation for all the little details that often go overlooked without a good planner.
Courtney made the transition into weddings and luxury events after graduating college in May of 2020 and has not looked back since! She has always appreciated good design and loves creating little stylistic touches to perfect someone’s big day. For her, the best part of the wedding is not the dancing or the cake, it’s getting to witness the quiet moments of love and joy between a couple and their guests. Courtney can’t wait to welcome you to The Estate at River Run!
Annaliese joined our team in December of 2020, working part-time on special projects and the admin side of the office activities. Entering her final semester studying Economics at William & Mary, she loves spending time in every corner of Virginia, whether it be at her apartment in Williamsburg, at her family home in Charlottesville, or with her boyfriend in Arlington. When she’s not revamping our tour magazines or undertaking an office organization project, she can be found painting, skateboarding, or teaching herself a new instrument.
Annaliese has always had a passion for organization and design. As a kid, she was known to make dinner menus for her family, carefully choosing the font and layout every time. She has jumped right into multiple Canva projects and is enjoying every moment!
Annaliese loves the art of communication with our clients, through emails, social media posts, and brochures. Her passion is working to convey all that our incredible venue and talented team have to offer.
Olivia Sigler joined our team in 2019 as an event assistant. She is currently studying Hospitality Management and Business at James Madison University. Olivia has a passion for planning events and seeing big projects come together. She looks forward to being able to create that magical day for couples.
Olivia first found her love for planning events when she began planning her birthday parties when she was little. From there, she loved any type of event that brought happiness to a group of people. Although, she wasn't super girly, her favorite thing was watching Say Yes To The Dress on Saturday mornings with her mom. These television marathons sparked her love for weddings.
In her free time, Olivia loves spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Dixie. You can often find her spending time at the beach or anywhere in the sunshine.
Her favorite part of weddings is seeing the joy when the couple sees each other for the first time. She is very excited to work with you all in the future and will work hard to create a day you will never forget!
